Stayed 9 days in our 45' motorhome. Our site was in the new section, easy access, reasonable spacing between sites, no trees - so great satellite reception! Little/no wifi depending on where you are parked. 5+ miles to gas/convenience store. Nice owners continue to upgrade the park, working on the drainage when we were there. Best park on the north side of Columbia, we'll be back.

We stayed for two nights in the newer section. We have a 37 foot motor home and towing a car. Very easy to pull in and set up. We were in a pull thru spot that was very long with a nice strip of grass in between sites. Good spacing between sites so that you are not on top of your neighbor. The site was level and had good drainage. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. There is no cable or WiFi. The price was reasonable and worth it.

Easy pull through site for short term guests and very nice people on the phone. We did not use the facilities. Nice big dog park. Some noise from road and train but nothing the radio can't drown out.

I stayed there for about 6 weeks and had no problems at all. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The sights were well maintained and fairly level. I will definitely go back in the future.

08-24-2020. Stayed here for a week-The only two issues about this place is there’s no WiFi, and no pool. Also they don’t allow pools of any sort . Nearby gas station is 15 minutes down the road. The people that work here are super nice and helpful; and have went out of their way to keep guests happy; small basic needs/ favors / loan a tool etc. The office has laundry and showers to use; Nothing fancy but gets the job done. Also they stock A few common rv parts and prices in the office. I needed a hose and they had one. Prices for stays are pretty reasonable. Some residents are long term. It’s quiet and fuss free. Fix the WiFi Issue and Pools it’ll be five stars ; most likely though with those commodities you’d end up paying more for them to cover their cost. This Ohio guy left convinced the place is a little gem In itself💎.

Stayed here for three days. Nice well kept facility with full hookups. We were in the newer section. No shade here but well laid out, very level large pull through sites. Great if you have a large rig. Would definitely stay here again.

It was nice and clean. The only thing I didn't care for is the WiFi. It's not that good. Management said down more than up

I've been staying there since 09/19 and I would recommend this place to fellow campers. It's outside of the city (about 15mi) and it is very quite. People are friendly and management/maintenance is on the site 24/7. One time I locked myself out of my camper (after 8p) and in less than 30 min I was back in thanks to the mgmt that lives on the site. There is a nice fenced dog yard and it's very clean. Campground is on the HWY 215 and right now the road is beiong repaired which is pain in the butt but after they are done, it will be nice. There are plenty long term residents, but also heavy traffic of transients. Some sites are in the shaded area and if you are lucky enough to reserve it, it is great bc sun can be brutal in SC. $400 for a monthly rent is a reasonable price, although price for electricity is somewhat high (not sure if it's this area, or what?)

Quiet, out of the way campground. The hosts were friendly and the price was right. You can tell they're making improvements to the grounds. If you are looking for amenities there aren't really any, but if you just want a quiet place to stay and don't mind a 20 minute drive to town, then this is your place. Our spot was level and the park was easy to navigate in and out of.

I hope this park continues to stay as lovely and wonderful as it currently is. The spaces are quite large and they allow you so much space to keep your extra belongings like boats and cars or trailers. It's so peaceful and quiet. There are 3 bathtub/shower combinations in the clubhouse and about 5 or 6 laundry machines. They have snacks at the front for purchase and they sell RV supplies so you don't have to run to town. The stars are beautiful out here. They have enough dumpsters. There is a fenced in dog area and a children's playground area. Nice mailboxes and the grounds are well lit. I hey satellite service out here with direct tv and I've seen some dish satellites as well. The campground hosts are patient, courteous, kind, and incredibly helpful. These sites are large enough you can pull a car trailer behind your motorhome and still fit in the space WITH some room to park your car. It's fifteen minutes from the interstate down highway 215 to Columbia.

(Posting as Paradise Island RV Resort in Fort Lauderdale). Big shout out to Stephanie and her staff at Broad River Campground for their phone call and generous offer of space for any of our resort guests attempting to flee Hurricane Dorian. Fortunately we sustained no damage. Thank you for the genuine "campground hospitality"!

I'm an ICU travel nurse and I work nights. When I called to check availability Stephanie was very helpful and reserved me a quiet site in Phase II next to another travel nurse. Upon arrival Richard helped me get set up - which was much appreciated after a 6+ hour drive to get there! During my 3 month stay I saw continual improvements being made. The clubhouse was updated with new flooring and exterior stain. Management was prompt to respond to any concerns or issues. They even brought mail & packages to my door when USPS left them in the clubhouse. The clubhouse has several full shower rooms, washers and dryers, snacks, a mini accessory store with movies, games & puzzles for use. Like another reviewer I didn't have hot water in my shower - until I realized I'd turned the handle the wrong way! There are many thoughtful items on site...... a tiny lending library near the driveway, horseshoe pit, gazebo and doggie-bag stations throughout. The dog park is large with benches for sitting while the dogs play. They even have a small pen inside the dog park for puppies, aged, or small dogs to keep them safe from being stepped on! The campground itself is about 20 minutes from Columbia, far enough out to be enjoyable...and only 5 minutes to the lake recreation area. I would definitely stay again & recommend the campground without hesitation. Great rates, great hosts and a safe, relaxed atmosphere!

I gave this place 5 stars not because it is a five star resort, because it's a friendly place. Not sure of the age of the campground, but its going through a growing phase. We stayed in phase II and the grounds were nice and level. It's very quiet at night and that's what you want from a campground. They're working on adding features to the campsite such as fire rings and picnic tables, but right now they don't have those. Very little internet service. The main office has supplies and a nice laundry area with showers. The place is well-kept and clean. If you need a place stay for while or just a short camping visit, this place works. 20 minutes from Columbia on the westside and far enough away to be safe and secure away from everything. Highly recommend. Very nice people working there.

Stayed here 3 months and loved it. A bit far from town, but that gives you the peace and quiet that makes this place special. The managers (Stephanie and Richard) and owners are extremely friendly and helpful, checking on the campers and making constant improvements. My site didn't have a fire ring, so they set me up with one within a couple of days. Choice of shaded or open sites with clean power and good water pressure. Large well maintained dog run. Good maintenance overall. Nice laundry and shower facilities. To me, the best part if this place is the people, including the other campers. Made many friends here. So stop here for short stay or long and enjoy southern country living.

What a pleasant surprise! We really enjoyed staying here. It wasn't the typical campground that we normally stay at but we will be back because the people are so very friendly, quiet and flexible. We arrived pretty late and the campground host came out and showed us where to go even in the rain. The office is well stocked with ice, snacks (including ice cream), and drinks. They also have washers & dryers for use. The restrooms and showers were very clean. They also have movies, puzzles, and games that you are welcome to borrow. It is also close to Columbia without being in Columbia!

The people are very nice but I can't call it a resort. There are no amenities not even a picnic table. I had no hot water in shower house although the next morning my brother in law did.

Staff is amazing, the laundry area and bathrooms are always clean, and the grounds are well maintained. Close enough to the city that you have access to all Columbia has to offer, but far enough away that you have peace and quiet, stars in the sky, wildlife, and privacy. We love it here!

I've been here for 10 months with my husband and our two children. We feel very welcome. And the management is very understanding and accommodating. Some people hope for many amenities and even though this place has few it's the closeness, freedom, comfort and sense of community you want to stay for. It's calm and quiet everyday even with the few larger families that come through. One thing i really appreciate is how wonderful they are to all the children who come here. They've added things for the children to enjoy and they greet my own with kindness and open arms. Being away from our own family has been sad mostly for the children but it's nice to feel we have become a part of a family here. My husband and I are very thankful. I Cheryl and Maurice Johnston

It is a campground in progress. Lots of space and a friendly crew. It was easy to check in and it's off the beaten path. If you are looking for quiet and not alot of amenities this is the place. The showers are big and the bathrooms are clean. We enjoyed staying here.

We've camped here twice now. Great place - easy access, level and wide lots, many of which are pull-through. Large dog run, laundry facilities, full hook-ups. But that isn't why you camp here. You stay here because the owner and the management go out of their way to make you feel like family. They're always there to help - if you need advice, help, or just an ear. If you want a quiet place to stay. This is it.

This is an up and coming park that will be absolutely amazing when it is completed. For now it is good for an over night stay or to use as a base when exploring the surrounding area. There is no pool or fitness room. For now it is a bit rustic, but we look forward to returning to see the updates. The staff is wonderful.
